Psalm 24 is a wonderful prayer for all of us who seek to faithfully steward the resources the Lord has entrusted to us. It begins with this reminder: “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him.”
When you and I give to our local church, to Wesleyan Native Ministries, and to other ministries and causes we believe in, we recognize that our resources are not our own. They belong to the Lord.
When we give, we don’t make a financial decision, based on what our pocketbook says. We make a spiritual decision, based on what we sense the Holy Spirit is leading us to do. And we trust that where God guides, He provides.
I wish I could remember when I first discovered this truth. But it’s been great for me to see and hear how many new Native believers are discovering and living this out in their own lives. How wonderful to know that all that we have, and all that we are, belong to God and can be used for His glory. What meaning and purpose this gives to our lives!
Thank you for your prayers and continued financial partnership with us. Together, we’re stewarding our resources to build up more stewards, Native stewards, for God’s kingdom. It’s the gift that will keep on giving until the Lord’s return.
